I drove down to Seattle on monday to see Laibach. I haven't seen them for almost 4 years, but the point is they are just as good a live band now as they were back then. Their set up at this show was completely different than their WAT tour because they had 3 people on synths, a live drummer (acoustic drums) and a main female vocalist (absolutely beautiful vocals). The drummer was really heavy on the crash cymbals but it sounded awesome. Overall they made their Volk album sound BETTER live especially with the vocals and drums. They played their Volk album all the way through first and then a few songs from WAT and a couple other albums.
I bought their Volk DVD and it's awesome...because the live performance on it is basically exactly what I saw in Seattle (same back drop slides and lighting as well). I'm actually watching it as I'm typing this and wow..they've made some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. I also bought a poster..and they were selling Laibach condoms..lol.
These guys are the best! This is the real deal.
